A vállalatirányítás és a kreatív számvitel közötti kapcsolat vizsgálata számviteli botrányokat (Enron, WorldCom, Satyam) követően került előtérbe. egy olyan aktuális kérdés, amely hatással van könyvelésre. Amennyiben vállalkozások könyvelési technikákat alkalmaznak, vállalat gyengeségeire utalhatnak. Ebben cikkben könyvelés kapcsolatot vizsgáljuk Transparency and Disclosure Index (Vállalati transzparencia vállalati közzététel index – TDI) segítségével. vizsgálat lehetővé teszi felépítésének, működésének átláthatóságát, különféle információk közzétételének mérését, vállalatok által nyilvánosan elérhető adatok alapján.
